Sponsorships

“Suffer the little children to come unto Me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Education is one of the investments a caregiver can give the child for future survival and sustenance. Many homes in Kyamaganda host 5-9 children each, but out of 9 children, only 3 are able to attend schooling due to lack of school fees. Of those that attend school, only two out of three have school requirements (school uniform, bag, shoes, scholastic materials). Lunch in our rural setting for a child costs $24.00 USD annually.

From the records we have in the Library and KCDO office, Kisekka sub-county and Kyamaganda Catholic Parish, we have 183 HIV and AIDS positive children. The majority do not study because of social-economic challenges. Sponsorship program is urgent and wanting.

In Primary level, it requires $81 annually (three terms) in day section for HIV positive children to attend school .
In Secondary it requires $121 annually to enable a child to study for three terms a year.

For apprenticeship/vocational training it requires $181 to finish a short course in apprenticeship skills and training. Education is a major source of empowering HIV positive households. Consider this opportunity to make an enormous impact, with a modest contribution.
